Everybody around the globe have done or come across or rather seen people decorated with ornaments pierced to their ears, nose, lips, any part of the body. The word piercing refers to making an opening in order to put in an ornament. History shows that piercing the body has been a practice all over the world as early as time of the mummies in Egypt. There are other places (which includes India) where they considered it as a religious act and some others to be a custom. It was in the 1990s that piercing got the attention of the entire globe which closed the gap from ancient to the modern world. Modern world sees on line with the basis of the changing culture and values: but still others feel that the act adds up to the trendiness and fashionable part of the lifestyle one leads.
